Frances Gillham - Director
Frances Gillham, a director of Beare's since 1996, comes from a family of musicians and was educated at St. Paul's Girls' School and St. Catherine's College, Oxford University, gaining an MA in Music. In 1979 she joined the headquarters of Christie's the Auctioneers, subsequently spending nearly 17 years in charge of the Musical Instruments department and becoming a director of the company. She has contributed to a variety of musical publications, also making many television and radio appearances, and is a founding Trustee of the musical charity
