New Residency

Sitkovetsky Trio

The Sitkovetsky Trio have been announced as Artists in Residence at this year’s Beethovenfest Bonn.

The festival is one of the largest classical music concert series in Germany, comprising around 80 performances each year. Dedicated primarily to the music of Ludwig van Beethoven, the Festival was first held in 1845, celebrating 75 years after the composer’s birth.

In the 2024 edition, the Sitkovetsky Trio curate three performances, featuring music by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Pejačević, alongside world premieres of new commissions by Ferran Cruixent and Lena Sierova.

Alexander Sitkovetsky performs on the 1679 “Parera” Stradivari violin, and Isang Enders plays on a fine Tononi cello. Their instruments are on loan from generous patrons through the Beare’s International Violin Society.
