We are delighted to announce that Li La, a student of the Kronberg Academy, has been awarded the long-term loan of a fine Italian cello by Giovanni Grancino of Milan.
“I am so grateful and happy to play this wonderful cello. I love this instrument and it means so much to me. I spend my days playing it and I feel more inspired with every hour of practice. For cellists, the cello is their ‘voice’ and I finally feel that I am able to articulate the music within me the way that I’ve always wanted.
With so many exciting concerts coming this year, I can’t wait to share my music with the world. A thousand thanks to everyone who has helped me. I will never forget your kindness or generosity.”
Special thanks to the Verbier Festival which sponsored the prize allowing Li La to come to London to choose her dream instrument as well as the generous patrons of the Beare’s International Violin Society who continue to support and take care of our artists.
