On receiving the loan, Olivia commented:

“It was love at first sight. The unique, dark varnish and matt finish drew me to this exceptional cello. I fell in love a second time when playing it and experiencing its glorious timbre, power and projection. I feel honoured to be part of the instrument’s history. Each day when I sit down to play, it is a joy to be able to create music with such a wonderful partner.
